According to Oswego University Police, 20-year-old Albis G. Diaz-Nunez has been charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.
On March 6, 2016, around 1 a.m., Oswego University Police received a complaint that fares for a late-night bus service were being paid with counterfeit $50 bills. The drivers of the bus-service located the suspect after he allegedly tried to pass another counterfeit bill.
The suspect was later identified as Diaz-Nunez. He was apprehended by Oswego University Police officers, who said Diaz-Nunez was in possession of several counterfeit $100 and $50 bills.
Diaz-Nunez, is a student at SUNY Oswego and current resident of Oneida Hall.
Diaz-Nunez was officially charged on March 13, 2016. He was arraigned in Oswego Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $1,500 cash bail or $2,500 bond.
Diaz-Nunez was also charged with petit larceny and attempted petit larceny.
