As a native Brooklynite and now current resident of Long Island, Patrick has always called the New York City metropolitan area home. A graduate of SUNY Oswego’s meteorology program, Patrick began his career as a fill-in meteorologist at News 12 one month after graduation in June of 2013.
While at SUNY Oswego, Patrick was apart of the campus television and radio stations for all four years, even serving as the Chief Meteorologist at the television station, WTOP-TV, for two years. In addition to his work with the media organizations, Patrick gained significant experience in severe weather research and forecasting after taking part in a storm chasing program offered through Oswego during the late Spring of 2013 and again in 2014.
During the summer before his Senior year, Patrick interned at News 12 in the Bronx/Brooklyn, under morning Meteorologist Mike Favetta. It was here that Patrick gained the invaluable experience of using social media to communicate with the public, creating industry standard weather graphics, and networking with professionals in the business to help him get him to where he is today.
Patrick is very excited to be starting his career in what he loves back home, in the Tri-State area, with News 12. Finally, he is very grateful to everyone who has helped him get to where he is today, including his family, friends (especially those at WTOP), and Mike.
